Our story

Cork's Oldest Bar since 1698

Located in Cork’s Historic Quarter, at the gates of Elizabeth Fort, Old Bear is steeped in history – originally named Ye Olde Bear after the battalion serving in the Elizabeth Fort, the bar has gone through a number of name changes while always retaining the distinct character of the original bar. With a new revamp, it has re-opened as Old Bear to continue serving the people of Cork and visiting customers.

With tasteful surroundings, great service, live music and DJs at the weekends this is the place for a great night out.
